Patchwork By Sea was originally established in 1998 in a small shop a few doors away from it’s current location, by two friends, Polly Taylor and Mary Rothe. It’s rapid growth fast outgrew the shop which is now located at Shop 1, 49 Jetty Rd, Brighton. April 2009 saw the expansion of the shop with the workshop area now located in Shop 2. Since purchasing the business in 2007, Jennifer & Terry strive to maintain the high level of service that Patchwork By Sea has been known for. Patchwork By Sea has always been our favourite shop. It has always had great atmosphere and lovely staff.
Jennifer has been involved in quilting since 1994 and Terry got hooked a little bit later in 2001. We both belong to the Quilters’ Guild of S.A. having served on both the Executive and Exhibition committees.
Terry and I met when we were only 16, and have been best friends ever since, later marrying in 1986. We have three children Robert, Alynda and Peter. We moved from Sydney to live in wonderful Adelaide in 1996 for a better way of life. We just love it!
Patchwork by Sea provides a very wide and comprehensive resource for quilters, including a huge range of fabrics, threads, patterns and books and classes. We look forward to meeting you as you come to visit us in the shop.
We are open 9am - 5 pm 7 days a week.
